gluten-free, refined-sugar free, vegan snack/dessert

I eat a lot of frozen smoothies while I'm at school because they're a great way to add more protein and extra veggies to my diet. Finally perfected my favorite recipe, so I thought I'd add it to my blog for easy access.
This recipe has no protein powder, only whole ingredients. Personally, I'm not a fan of protein powders on a daily basis because it's hard to tell if what the nutrient label and ingredients list say are accurate. Most protein powders taste too articifically sweet and flavored for my taste. If you do choose to use protein powder, please be sure to research the brand and product specifically to make sure you know what your buying.
Now for the recipe!
Protein Ice Cream
1 serving
Ingredients:
1 frozen banana, sliced
1/2 cup ice
1/2 cup fresh spinach
1/4 - 1/2 cup Fairlife milk (or dairy-free milk of choice)
2 tablespoons chocolate hummus (optional, but highly recommended)
2 tablespoons powdered peanut butter
Directions:
Place all ingredients into a blender and blend on high until a smooth consistency. Pour into a bowl and top with your favorite toppings; my favorites are homemade granola and chia seeds. Enjoy!
